“A glass raised to an absent muse,” is the line from the song that was stuck in my head when I decided this view would make a good scene. I was sitting on my porch with a glass of wine while taking a break from working on another piece. The colors and the line in my head seemed like the perfect combination on a quiet summer night.
Normally I work from photographs that I have taken. However, for this image I was driving home when I decided I really liked the sunset. As I was driving, I had a friend take some photos of the sunset for me. I can’t remember if I used just one image or combined two to get the sky and the headlights both as I wanted them.
This one is basically a study from one of my photos of the mission.
A drawing from a shot out of the top of the Jeep while driving down the highway.
Just a simple small landscape. The pond was in a little area I came across while visiting Holland, Michigan.
